High Voltage Electrical Technician skilled in construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical distribution systems.
Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of HV Electrical Specialist within our ORCM Prod Ops Electrical group based in either Lubbock, Andrews, Seminole Gaines, Denver City, or Levelland Tx.
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the Commissioning, Quality Assurance, specification, installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage electrical equipment to improve field system operation/uptime and reduce total operating costs.
- High School diploma or GED
- Diagnostic and repair skills for complex problems in Electrical distribution systems
- Capable of installing, troubleshooting, and repairing overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Understanding of electrical theory and transformer wiring configurations.
- Knowledgeable of NEC and OSHA standards.
- Able to safely supervise electrical contract work
- Able to effectively interface with electrical engineers and energy providers
- Able to perform preventive maintenance on high voltage electrical equipment.
- Able to proficiently and safely operate bucket trucks as well as other powerline equipment.
- Good computer skills
- Team oriented, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Minimum Journeyman lineman license or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years oilfield experience preferred, with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors & the public
- Electrically qualified per OSHA 1910.269 up to 14.4KV
