Electrical Preconstruction Manager

Purpose:

As an Electrical Preconstruction Manger - at KE you will play a key role within our Pre-Construction team. This person is the bridge between Estimation and Operations. The Preconstruction Manger will be responsible for bringing an estimate from conceptual design to a finished project that is construction ready. The Preconstruction Manger will work with our Estimators, Pre-Construction Team, Drafters, and Project Managers throughout the design phase until it is ready to hand off to our Operations team. KE performs Design Build projects, nationwide, in a variety of industries including but not limited to Biodiesel & Ethanol production facilities, Grain storage, Fertilizer Terminals, Feed & Flour Mills, Dairy Processing plants, and Cement/Aggregate plants.

This is not a remote position and will require on site attendance in Oglesby, IL.

Responsibilities:

+ Sizing conduit/cable to serve electrical equipment such as MCC’s, Switchboards, Panelboards, and Transformers + Comprehend MCC BOM’s and quotes to ensure that sizing, layouts, and controller types are accurate + Comprehend Switchgear BOM’s and quotes to ensure that sizing, layouts, and over current protection types are correct + Build conduit cable schedules to serve

- Motors

- Controls and instrumentation devices

- Branch Circuiting

+ Knowledge of motor control devices such as VFD’s, Soft Starts, Networked MCC’s, and traditional across the line starters + Medium Voltage Distribution systems such as

- Vacuum Fault Interrupters

- Metal Clad MV Switchgear

- MV transformers

- Various MV Cable Types and terminations

+ Experience with Special systems such as

- Network cabling

- Instrumentation

- Fire Alarm

- Door access/Security systems

- Grounding Systems

+ Act as a bridge from estimating to operations or concept to reality
