Job description: Key Responsibilities:
•Foster collaboration in developing technical solutions for electrical low and medium voltage power systems
•Work with design, maintenance, and operation teams to ensure safe, reliable deployment of high-performance solutions
•Engage with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure component and subsystem performance, reliability, and quality
•Analyze, design, and optimize electrical power systems for reliable and efficient power delivery. Including generation, distribution, and utilization of electricity
•Create specifications, procedures, installation instructions, and test documents
•Utilize various systems and software tools, including internal Product Data Management systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office
•Participate in hands-on lab, full-scale, or field testing of relevant equipment and systems
•Travel to well sites, customer offices, vendor offices, and other locations as required (10-15% of the time, including weekends and holidays)
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with at least 5 years of power systems engineering experience; a Master’s degree is preferred
•Experience with customer applications of mobile electrical gear
•Experience solving complex issues and designing technical solutions related to power systems
•Proficiency in electrical analysis software (e.g., SKM, ETAP)
•Hands-on experience with electrical equipment and systems, including micro-grids, utility interfaces, NG generators, turbines, medium voltage switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, AC motors, and protection systems
•Preferred experience in medium voltage power generation/distribution for oil & gas applications
•Familiarity with large-scale industrial processes (chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas refining)
•Understanding of commissioning power system solutions and troubleshooting skills
Skills:
•Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, flow charts, and cause and effect diagrams
•Proficiency in system analysis (load flow, short circuit, stability studies, fault, and harmonic analysis)
•Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Travel:
•Required travel to various locations, including well sites and customer/vendor offices (10-15% of the time)
