POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for daily and outage electrical maintenance planning and leading the overall maintenance process for his/her area. Planner duties include processing work orders to determine detailed material, resource, equipment and logistical requirements and the associated costs. The planner utilizes the work management system, Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to effectively identify, prioritize, plan, schedule, execute, document, review and improve work practices in the most efficient and consistent manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Attends/leads daily, weekly and shutdown planning meetings.
•Develop and Implement maintenance plans through field investigation, work identification, material takeoff, resource and logistical requirements and cost estimating.
•Manages work orders through the CMMS [Computerized Maintenance Management System].
•Prepares estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities.
•Ensure the crew follows the cost-control strategies.
•Enforce safe practices, ensure safe conditions and promote a safe attitude among crew members.
•Comply with environmental requirements and promote environmental awareness among crew members.
•Inspects and evaluates work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial action.
•May periodically be used to supervise the represented or contract employees.
•Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles
Requirements:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•5 years planning experience in electrical industrial maintenance. Associates degree or Electrical/Instrument trades experienced preferred.
•Must be proficient with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
•Must have familiarity with CMMS computer programs. [Computerized Maintenance Management System]
•Experience with operation/maintenance of milling and/or similar process equipment (i.e. conveyors, crushers, ball mills, sag mills, vertical mill, screen decks, agitators, rotors, belts, pulleys, gear boxes, lube systems, etc.) Skilled in planning and scheduling for preventive maintenance
•Strong interpersonal skills in developing consensus building.
•Applicant must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
•Must be able to manage time effectively and set priorities.
•Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects.
•Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and troubleshoot problems.
•Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•Practical knowledge of MSHA Code of Federal Regulations and enforcement of.
•English language fluency.
o At least CEFR B2 - Upper Intermediate: Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•High School Diploma or GED.
•Some college or technical school education, Associates degree preferred.
•5 years mining electrical maintenance planning.
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY
•The job requires training or instruction in the area of environmental Awareness.
•This job requires training or instruction in the area of Safety & Health awareness including completion of the appropriate OSHA and/or MSHA training.
