- Design and Development: Create and implement electrical and instrumentation systems that meet project specifications and industry standards, both hardware and software.
- Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment and instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical systems and instrumentation, ensuring minimal downtime in operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with all stakeholders, project managers, and technicians to ensure operations and maintenance goals are met and compliance with safety regulations is maintained.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of designs, specifications, and maintenance activities for future reference and compliance audits.
- Leadership: Provide technical support and training to technicians regarding instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field, but will consider experience in lieu of education.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming, control systems, and knowledge of underground electrical compliance is a must.
- Experience: Previous experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering roles, particularly in underground mining settings.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as MSHA, E&I, or ISA may be required or beneficial.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to effectively address and resolve technical issues.
