Overview:
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality inspection services on oil and gas construction projects. The Electrical Inspector III will serve as the on-site company representative, overseeing the safe and efficient installation of both aboveground and underground production facilities. The inspector ensures compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines while fostering a culture of leadership, accountability, and proactive communication.
Responsibilities:
•Execute duties with due diligence to reduce risk and elevate team performance.
•Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
•Represent the company on-site and oversee all personnel and construction activities.
•Accurately report project progress, conditions, contractor JSAs, and HSE topics daily.
•Monitor contractor adherence to company policies, procedures, and budget/time expectations.
•Lead and participate in safety meetings and audits (SIMOPS, JSA reviews, trench inspections).
•Provide inspection oversight for all welds and facility installations, including fab shop fabrication.
•Verify contractor qualifications and ensure welders are properly certified and rostered.
•Maintain open communication across all field activities, ensuring clarity on site control and responsibilities during simultaneous operations.
•Conduct field QA tests, track schedules, and drive continuous improvement through feedback and recommendations.
•Ensure appropriate permits and paperwork are completed and maintained (e.g., hot work, spotter/operator logs).
•Enforce trench safety standards, including proper sloping and secure walkouts.
•Promote and uphold company values in all field operations and team interactions.
•Immediately report injuries, spills, or regulatory incidents to field leadership.
•Proactively identify and halt operations involving unfit or unsafe personnel.
Qualifications:
•Minimum 2+ years of oilfield experience, with strong knowledge of production facilities.
•Must hold a valid Colorado Journeyman Electrician License.
•Experience in field inspection, facility installation, and construction oversight.
•Proficiency in interpreting and correcting drawings and P&IDs.
•Strong leadership presence and ability to lead by example on-site.
•Familiarity with safety documentation (JSA, trench inspection, hot work permits, etc.).
•Capable of working extended or irregular hours alongside contractors.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•High attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality assurance.
•Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility, and Fit for Duty.
