Entry Level Electrical Engineer

Our Tucson-based Engineering and Manufacturing division is currently looking for an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to assist in manufacturing, quality control and performance testing of our geophysical field equipment product line.

Zonge’s line of products includes geophysical data loggers, transmitters and sensors. The successful candidate will have knowledge of mixed signal electronic circuits and a strong ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment. Over time your ability to read schematics and plans, analyze signal flow and detect and solve problems will grow into full proficiency.

Responsibilities entry level electrical engineer include:

· Perform electrical testing and evaluation of equipment and systems.

· Preparing technical documentation and records.

· Quality control electronic modules with standard laboratory equipment.

· Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and equipment.

· Assist in the preparation of electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications.

· Test geophysical equipment under field conditions.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering. Specialization in electronics and integrated circuits or power systems is preferred.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self.

· Proficiency in understanding and implementing designs from technical drawings.

· Ability to troubleshoot electronic systems and perform complex system tests.

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to work in a team environment.

· Basic knowledge of FPGA and Verilog is a plus.

· Internship experience in a design or QC team is a plus.

· Driver’s license: possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.

_ Preferred Skills:_

· Programming in Python and C, KICAD, Altium, Spice.
