Electrical Engineer I - Substation (Entry-Level)

Our Substation Engineering team ensures our substation equipment and controls meet the needs for our transmission and distribution systems and infrastructure today and tomorrow. We are hiring an Electrical Engineer I to perform electrical engineering design work for our substations, along with specifying and procuring substation equipment and materials. You will also have the opportunity to lead project and construction management for substation-related projects for our Electric Planning, Electric Construction, Operations, and Energy Supply teams. The work that you will do ensures the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to over 500,000 customers in the Pikes Peak Region!

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required - an emphasis in Power Systems is valued* Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license is required* - the essential functions of this job require operating a Colorado Springs Utilities' vehicle
