With a strong reputation for delivering innovative design, project management, and construction solutions; we serve the Light Rail Transit (LRT), Rail Systems, Industrial and Utility Sectors. We’re on the lookout for a talented Electrical Designer to join our dynamic Electrical Engineering Team in our Edmonton office, as we take on exciting new engineering projects and advance existing ones. This is a great opportunity where you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of transportation and energy infrastructure. From designing substations that incorporate equipment layouts and system single line drawings to developing electrical schematics for protection and control systems and equipment interface, you’ll be an integral team member on both retrofit and new build infrastructure projects. Cross discipline design opportunities are available to assist with other aspects of design work including both AC and DC power distribution systems and overhead catenary systems servicing LRT projects. With all these design avenues, you’ll be at the heart of impactful projects that make a difference.

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Designer with 3 to 5 years of experience, who is passionate about collaborating with engineers, technical teams, consultants and contractors. An ideal candidate will contribute in taking projects from conceptual design through to construction completion while learning from seasoned industry professionals.

- Innovate Through Design: Create detailed engineering designs and calculations to meet project requirements, standards, and industry best practices.

- Share Your Expertise: Contribute to in-depth technical and engineering studies and offer peer reviews for team members.

- Be a Communication Dynamo: Collaborate with internal teams, external clients and vendors to resolve technical challenges and ensure project alignment.

- Stay Hands-On: Monitor construction progress, review field changes impacting designs, and support testing and commissioning phases

- Shape the Future: Play a pivotal role in all aspects of a project including design, procurement, construction, and testing and commissioning.

- Collaborate with Vendors: Coordinate technical clarifications and design updates with suppliers.

- Quality Assurance Specialist: Review design drawings, material specifications, and support QA/QC processes during design and construction.

You’ll also enjoy occasional travel from Edmonton to meet project needs and see your work come to life on-site!

This role is perfect for someone ready to step up, make an impact, and grow alongside a team passionate about engineering excellence. Let’s build the future together!
