We are seeking engineering graduates in the field of Electrical Engineering to perform engineering and design services.

We have fantastic opportunities for design engineers to support electrical & control system design services, primarily using AutoCAD and AVEVA. Initial responsibilities will focus on design development, arc flash and distribution calculations, single line diagram development, equipment specifications and vendor coordination. The work is primarily in the office, but there are often great opportunities to perform field investigations and validation for the pipeline and utility designs.

Engineers in this position have typically learned quickly through increasingly challenging assignments across a broad range power and controls projects, and their role has grown to include coordination with other engineering disciplines, lead design responsibilities, project engineering and project management. Job duties will also include interfacing with clients and construction contractors, field investigation, and construction support.

The position has a flexible 9/80 work schedule with a hybrid work location, supporting SPEC's Fountain Valley office.

Job Requirements

Candidates must be able to use AutoCAD and have an understanding of the use of external references; proficiency in AVEVA, Microstation, AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Plant 3D is a plus. Position also requires the demonstrated ability to learn new software, standards, and work in a team environment. Successful applicants will learn the engineering and design aspects of these facilities while enhancing their AutoCAD capabilities, with potential to develop to project engineer and lead design engineer positions.

Salary Range: $65k-$85k Annually
