In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving health, safety, and environmental performance and compliance with applicable regulations and company standards and contributing to an environment where employee health and safety is preserved. You will have the leadership, responsibility, authority, and knowledge necessary to develop and implement site-specific HSE Plans and promote a safe working culture. You will be required to provide basic environmental, health and safety support to jobsite management in controlling workplace injury, illness, and environmental harm. Support and enforce regulatory laws, Company, and Client standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environment guidelines, policies, and regulations.
· Work with the employees and Company leadership to improve policies and procedures.
· Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
· Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
· Inspect of evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
· Lead safety training or education programs and demonstrate use of safety equipment.
· Order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers’ safety.
· Collect, review, and take appropriate action for all safety documents weekly and maintain the files accordingly.
· Assist the area manager with daily admin duties as needed.
· Responsible to comprehend and educate employees of Client safety expectations.
· Represent Company professionally among Clients in and industry professionals as needed.
· Travel to Affiliate locations – as required less than 20%
· Manage Minds Cards Program (or equivalent) – provide leadership leading indicators to
· Develop Emergency Response Plans for existing and new projects.
