Position Summary The Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator will help Antora maintain its critical environmental, health, and safety records that underpin the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our businesses. This role works closely with the front line and management personnel working to achieve Antora's mission of stopping global warming. We work fast and with passion and this role will help make sure we keep the important resources needed to safely do our work, close at hand and that our EH&S Management Systems function effectively.
- Conduct weekly & monthly inspections of our chemical storage areas to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Inventory, organize, and stock needed equipment including personal protective equipment and safety supplies for the business work groups.
- Conduct inspections of safety equipment to ensure they are functional and ready for use when needed including fire extinguishers, ladders, AEDs, fall protection harnesses, and more.
- Manage the chemical inventory and safety data sheet systems to ensure we have a clear understanding of what hazards are present in the workplace and that our protective equipment is sufficient.
- Manage non-hazardous and hazardous waste compliance requirements such as labeling, segregation, satellite accumulation management, and secondary containment.
- Assist EHS&S Team with the deployment of programs with workplace postings and event scheduling.
- Assist with weather policy compliance activities including high heat warnings, weather monitoring, and stormwater compliance.
- Willingness to learn and support EH&S compliance obligations and build an appreciation for the importance of companies complying with regulations.
- Ability to maintain records for regulatory compliance as described in onboarding training.
- Great time management skills and the ability to maintain processes and procedures for several areas.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills for working with front line and management personnel.
- Experience working with computer databases, spreadsheets, and other organizational tools.
- Willingness to learn new skills and to devise effective solutions for process inefficiencies.
- A mindset that approaches work with openness and humility with the goal of finding the best solution to an issue that is in alignment with our Mission.
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment with conflicting priorities with a balance of patience and determination.
