Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to support our EHS team with various administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and be proactive in contributing to the development of training programs. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with EHS standards and fostering a safe work environment.
Duties
•Assist in the development and implementation of training programs focused on occupational health and safety.
•Assist with root cause analysis for incidents and assist in the preparation of reports related to findings.
•Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with EPA regulations and OSHA standards.
•Support the management of workers' compensation claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
•Participate in safety audits and inspections, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
•Facilitate communication between departments regarding safety protocols and training needs.
•Help fabricate necessary materials or tools for training sessions or safety demonstrations.
•Assist with compliance reporting
Experience
•Prior experience in a similar role is required.
•Strong experience with managing compliance reporting accounts, EHS protocols, and occupational health practices is preferred.
•Knowledge of CPR certification, workers' compensation law, and OSHA regulations is a plus.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
•Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
