E&C Engineer III

Job Summary:

This position is integral to the design, modeling, development, and testing of machines, structures, or systems. The role involves developing functional requirements while applying standard engineering principles to create simulations and prototypes that evaluate preliminary designs. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and testing components, integrating them into final products, and monitoring product quality to ensure process efficiency. Additionally, this role requires evaluating design effectiveness in terms of cost, reliability, and safety while investigating root causes of failures to recommend improvements.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as the technical project engineer or subject matter expert for assigned areas of responsibility.

- Manage major projects or several complex projects of moderate to large scope.

- Maintain contacts with individuals and units within and outside the corporation for action on technical matters.

- Determine and pursue necessary courses of action to achieve desired results.

- Provide work direction for a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals as needed.

- Apply extensive technical expertise and demonstrate higher-level understanding of related disciplines.

- Conceive plans to develop procedures, codes, and standards in complex problem areas.

- Exercise authority and technical leadership on self-initiated assignments with long-term business implications.

- Participate in bid/evaluation processes including preparation of bid documents and technical evaluations.

- Act as the organization spokesperson on advanced projects and influence communications with stakeholders.

- Oversee engineers, interns, craft personnel, technicians, and other professionals as required.

- Coordinate processes related to budgeting, estimating, forecasting, accounting, and work order management.

Qualifications:

- Required bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum (or recognized equivalency).

- 9+ years relevant engineering experience; Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.

- Demonstrated unique technical skills and core competencies established by the organization.
