Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong understanding of truck driving regulations, excellent route planning skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

•

Operate a dump truck safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and dirt.

•

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.

•

Load and unload materials at designated locations, utilizing appropriate equipment when necessary.

•

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including routes taken and materials transported.

•

Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.

•

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

•

Perform routine maintenance on the truck as needed, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure.

Experience

•

Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with a focus on dump trucks or similar vehicles.

•

Familiarity with various types of trailers including refrigerated trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks is a plus.

•

Knowledge of loading and unloading freight safely using forklifts or other equipment is beneficial.

•

Strong route driving skills with an ability to navigate efficiently through various terrains and conditions.
