Dual Inspector (CWI/CPWI and NACE)
•
Project start: May-July 2025 (dates subject to change or extend)
Seeking experienced dual-certified Inspectors (CWI/CPWI and NACE) for a large integrity-driven pipeline dig program
Primary Responsibilities
•
Provide daily inspection and quality control oversight of excavation, pipe removal, replacement, and backfill operations
•
Perform visual inspection of welds according to API 1104 and client specifications
•
Conduct coating inspections and verify proper surface preparation
•
Document all inspection activities, non-conformances, and corrective actions
•
Review and verify contractor documentation for completeness and accuracy
•
Maintain detailed daily reports of all construction activities
•
Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of pipe materials
•
Verify appropriate cathodic protection measures are implemented
•
Monitor safety protocols and compliance throughout project execution
Required Qualifications
•
Active AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or (CPWI) Welding Inspector certification
•
Active NACE coating inspection certification
•
Minimum 5 years of pipeline construction and inspection experience
•
In-depth knowledge of API 1104 welding standards and procedures
•
Experience with pipe cutouts, replacements, and integrity digs
•
Thorough understanding of pipeline coating systems and application
•
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with contractors and client representatives
•
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to remote work locations
Preferred Qualifications
•
Experience with multiple mechanical contractor crews
•
Familiarity with integrity management programs
•
Knowledge of DOT regulations
