Position Summary:
Drum Reconditioners are responsible for safely loading, unloading and processing empty, new or reconditioned drums in a chemical manufacturing environment. This job includes general labor and warehouse tasks while demonstrating proper understanding of safety measures.
Work Environment:
Chemical Manufacturing environment inside and outside of metal buildings. Employee will work in temperature extremes and in a chemical-odors environment. Depending on exact position employee may need to: Operate a forklift, tip and move 55 gallon drums weighing up to 600 pounds with a drum dolly, lift and carry 100 pounds in various packaging lift and/or handle empty 55 gallon drums.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
•Adhere to all Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations at all times
•Identify and sort incoming materials for processing
•Load or unload materials into containers or onto trucks by hand or using equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, fork trucks, etc.
•Organize or track locations of items in warehouse
•Properly inspect, segregate, and consolidate all incoming or outgoing shipments.
•Sorting materials for refuse, reuse or recycling
•Responsible for safely cleaning empty chemical drums according to EAP guidelines
•Marinating a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
•High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
•Forklift certification preferred
•Must possess a valid driver’s license

•Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills. Efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type and use a mouse.
•Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.

•Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55 gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.
