We are currently looking to fill the position of Propane Driver / Service Technician based at our Nashport, OH Service Center. This position is responsible for providing direct support and services to all members/consumers served. This position requires manual labor to successfully perform some of the essential duties and an individual must ensure compliance and understanding of all safety standards and practices relating to the propane industry.
Nature and Scope of Position (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and / or abilities necessary. Education and/or Experience:* High school diploma along with two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Certificates, Licenses and/or Training:* Must possess a valid Class B or greater Commercial Driver’s License supplemented by a good driving record. Possess or ability to obtain hazardous materials, tanker and air brakes endorsements. Obtain through an approved testing agency, certification in propane system installation, operation and service. Ability to attend meetings and/or training seminars when requested. Language and Interpersonal Skills:* Ability to read, analyze and interpret publications outlining Standard Gas Codes, NFPA-54 and NFPA-58 pertaining to gas systems, National Fuel Gas Codes and Standard Industry Practices. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Other Skills and Abilities:* Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Utilize various resources to stay informed of new technology in the gas industry. Must understand and maintain compliance with approved industry methods and safety practices and regulatory guidelines outlined by the Company and/or gas industry. Ability to identify and utilize the use of tools commonly used in the gas industry.
