Driver

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver to join our dynamic team. As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. This position requires a commitment to safe driving practices and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to navigate efficiently throughout the city or designated delivery areas. You will be responsible for loading your truck and trailer with a variety of parts and pallets, verifying that the delivery information is correct, and transporting goods to their designated locations. You will also interact with customers during delivery, so strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential. Responsibilities

- Wrap orders on pallets and load onto the trailer using a forklift or by hand while ensuring correct item counts and order accuracy.

- Secure the load on the truck and/or trailer.

- Deliver packages to customers on time and provide excellent customer service throughout the delivery process.

- Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports by capturing required delivery details and signatures.

- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance standards are met. Complete preventative maintenance as required.

- Communicate proactively with the production team regarding order statuses and any potential delivery issues.

Requirements

- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Must have experience and expertise in hauling and properly backing up a bumper tow or gooseneck trailer.

- Experience operating a forklift.

- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred.

- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation applications.

- Ability to lift heavy packages and move items safely.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
