Contacts Inside: Operations Manager/ Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Office Support, Warehouse Personnel, District Manager, Director of Operations

Contacts Outside: Warehouse employees, Purchasing Agents, and other customer employees as required.

PURPOSE

Role and Responsibilities

- Promote Gresco Utility Supply, Inc. by making deliveries of material ordered by customers in a prompt and efficient manner.

- Provide positive and negative feedback from customer to appropriate Gresco personnel.

- Assist in pulling, loading, and unloading of material using multiple types of forklifts as necessary.

- Follow proper regulations and requirements as specified by Gresco, OSHA, and DOT.

- Work with customers daily to check material, correct any shipping mistakes, and resolve any customer complaints or concerns.

- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of delivery vehicles.

- Be available 24/7 to assist during emergency/storm situations.

NATURE AND SCOPE

ANALYTICAL

- 5% of time performing daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks.

PLANNING

- 5 - 15% of time spent doing paperwork to meet Gresco and DOT requirements.

TRAVEL

- Approximately 80 - 90% of employee’s time is spent driving, delivering material, assisting in warehouse and other related tasks.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED (minimum required job-related knowledge):

- Class A CDL license

- Six months with Class A commercial driving experience

- Knowledge of DOT regulations

- Forklift certified

PREFERRED:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Six months warehouse experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal conditions in a commercial truck, driving over interstate, state, and county roads. Weather conditions play a role in the ability to perform the job. Normal warehouse environment requires the ability to safely operate required warehouse equipment and some lifting from 10-50 lbs. daily. Lifting heavier material would require assistance from another employee. Requires the ability to properly secure a load by strapping down material with straps and chains, which requires physical force.
