Job Description:

Rise Modular is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Drafting Team Manager to oversee the drafting and design team at our modular manufacturing facility in Owatonna, MN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership and team management skills. The Drafting Team Manager will lead a group of drafters and design professionals to create accurate and efficient modular building designs that align with our production goals and client specifications. This role will also require close collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of drafting professionals, ensuring high performance, clear communication, and continuous improvement. + Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to help team members grow professionally. + Manage performance of the drafting team through semi-annual reviews and regular meetings, including disciplinary discussions, as needed. + Review, approve, and revise drafts as necessary to ensure consistency with project requirements. + Ensure all designs, drafts, and blueprints are accurate, high-quality, and in compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines. + Oversee the drafting team's work schedule and project timelines, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within scope. + Work closely with production and business development teams to address technical and design challenges. + Identify and implement process improvements for drafting practices, enhancing workflow efficiency, design accuracy, and communication between departments. + Enforce best practices in quality control and ensure the team follows established guidelines for drafting standards, documentation, and revisions. + Act as the key point of contact between the drafting team and other internal departments. + Ensure effective communication to resolve any design issues that may affect the manufacturing process or client expectations. + Maintain proficiency in industry-standard drafting software (Procore or similar), ensuring the team stays updated with the latest tools and techniques.
