Position Summary:
The District Sales Manager will lead the introduction and expansion of our product portfolio throughout a newly established sales territory. This individual will be responsible for delivering strategic growth across Electronic Gas Measurement and gas volume correction solutions—alongside pipeline solutions and regulators—while building trusted relationships with clients and channel partners in the Central US region.
- Define and execute short- and long-term regional strategies to grow product adoption with LDC, transmission, and channel partner accounts.
- Lead territory management with a strong focus on EGM solutions and gas volume correction technologies, maximizing revenue and market share.
- Develop and execute account penetration plans to identify new opportunities and expand wallet share with existing customers.
- Leverage customer service and technical support resources to create value and strengthen partnerships.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, communicating the performance and compliance advantages of our measurement and regulation portfolio.
- Monitor industry trends related to gas measurement standards (AGA, GPA, API) and emerging opportunities in utility and industrial markets.
- Support channel partners with training, joint calls, and strategy development to drive territory growth.
- Provide voice-of-customer insights for future product development in measurement and regulation solutions.
- Produce analysis of competitive products and positioning in gas measurement and correction.
- Represent the company at tradeshows, industry conferences, and customer events, effectively communicating our value proposition.
- Leverage CRM system daily to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, update account information, and ensure accurate pipeline visibility.- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (or High School Diploma/GED plus 5+ years of additional equivalent experience).
- 5–10 years of B2B product sales experience, preferably in the natural gas measurement, regulation, or energy products sector.
- Experience with Electronic Gas Measurement (EGM) solutions highly preferred.
- Proven history of winning new customers with existing products and successfully introducing new technologies to established accounts.
- Strong knowledge of LDC markets and pipeline operations.
- Direct sales and channel/partner management experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into tailored, value-based solutions.
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work independently in a multi-state sales territory.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in creating impactful customer presentations.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%+ to meet clients and support regional growth.- Frequent travel to customer locations within the assigned territory; occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through written correspondence.
- Work may occasionally require carrying presentation materials or product samples.
