The Dispatcher coordinates with Project Managers/Branch Managers/Logistics Manager to ensure sufficient staff are available for projects/service as requested. Through superior customer service, the Dispatcher is crucial to the operation of the service team. On call 24/7, the Dispatcher coordinates and dispatches drivers and equipment to meet the client's needs .
- Receive telephone requests for services, process and transmit information to field personnel via radio, telephone, or cell phone, and dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders.
- Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
- Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of drivers and equipment.
- Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
- Act as a liaison between clients, field personnel and drivers.
- Arrange for mobilization and demobilization of vehicles and equipment.
- Schedule jobs and coordinate equipment shipping and receiving.
- Schedule and coordinate equipment rentals, entering data, managing timecard and equipment inspection paperwork.
- Provide opportunity for skill development to progress through the field hierarchy.
- Work with leadership on equipment shortages, allocation of equipment.
- Coordinate with the training department for scheduling of new/recertification training for drivers to ensure site requirements are met.
- Manage Employees during gaps in work, allocating to the shop where possible.
- Coordinate with Human Resources to engage in progressive discipline where required.
- Organize maintenance, repairs, and inspections of branch truck and trailer fleet through the maintenance shop.
- Assists with regular audits of inspections and journey management plans.
- Conduct field paperwork and logbook audits
- Prepare and submit billing.
- Issue PO’s and job numbers as required .
- Coordinate subcontracted services as required
- Follow up on issues with work orders.
- Approve Daily Job Control Sheets and time-off requests.
- Maintain the permits, insurance registration on all branch vehicles.

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the oilfield industry.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken).
- High School diploma.
- Able to demonstrate good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with driver's abstract.
- Ability to handle changing schedules and priorities, with high level prioritization skills.
- Strong work ethic and organizational planning skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
- Office environment (70%), field (15%) and shop environment (15%).
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- May be required to work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and heat.
