Job Description:
The Disaster Restoration Project Manager is responsible for leading production activities in the field, making decisions that impact the success of restoration projects, and supervising technicians assigned to the job. This individual will monitor and inspect tasks for commercial and residential restorations jobs to ensure the completion of drying, demolition, and various other restoration activities. The Project Manager will also prepare and review documentation for completion and accuracy, create estimates, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
•Retrieve work orders, check travel routes, ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on the truck needed for the job, and arrive at the worksite promptly.
•Complete assigned jobs according to company processes, maintaining quality control within the budget of each job.
•Perform daily monitoring on active residential and/or commercial jobs and communicate with customers daily.
•Maintain records of personnel and resources used on projects and communicate all billable events to others.
•Inspect and scope jobs onsite, working with the lead technician on the scope of the job.
•Document and review losses with clear and descriptive job photos, uploading them into the operating system/software.
•Write mitigation and construction estimates using Xactimate, estimating using carrier audit standards when applicable, and managing the estimate based on feedback from clients and customers.
•Explain the drying process and next steps to resolution in person to customers using printed materials as a guide.
•Interface with adjusters and customers in person, over the phone, and virtually to resolve issues and answer questions about the loss.
•Perform quality assurance inspections after completion, obtain customer signatures for approval, and request payments when necessary.
•Prepare documentation and pictures according to company policies and procedures to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies and clients.
•Train new technicians or key operational team members as needed.
•Assist with operational duties as needed by leading team meetings, vehicle maintenance and upkeep, ordering of supplies and materials, and overseeing set up of online profiles for training, security, and vehicles.
Qualifications:
•High School diploma or equivalent.
•IICRC certification or willingness to obtain certification.
•Experience with Xactimate software or similar estimating software.
•Basic construction background, including understanding of building materials, flooring, and other materials affected by property damage.
•Excellent customer service skills.
•Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
•Ability to manage multiple projects and work sites concurrently.
•Ability to communicate effectively with customers, adjusters, and team members.
•Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call hours as needed.
•Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
