Director, Treasury
Reporting to the Vice President, Treasurer, the Director, Treasury will collaborate with various stakeholders to focus on treasury and finance initiatives. You will manage global treasury operations (including cash and liquidity management) , risk (including commodity and FX hedging programs), banking relationships, insurance, external and internal reporting, and special projects. We are seeking a reliable team player with a strong financial acumen and deep expertise in treasury operations and capital markets to join our team.
Primary Responsibilities
•Manage and execute the precious metal sales program
•Strategize and manage foreign currency and commodity exposures for Alamos operations
•Analyze market trends and develop strategies to manage trading and hedging activities
•Review and recommend various short-term investment alternatives
•Manage key relationships with banks and other treasury related service providers
•Review consolidated cash reports and short-term cash forecasts, including monthly and quarterly reports for management
•Review monthly treasury reports and quarterly financial information
•Prepare and ensure compliance with IFRS 9 on hedge accounting documentation for the hedge programs, including FX and commodity risks
•Provide accounting support on treasury related transactions to the operations and corporate accounting team, as required
•Prepare and provide support on reports, presentations, and other materials for the Executive Leadership Team, Audit Committee, and Board of Directors
•Collaborate with internal functions, including, legal, tax, procurement, projects, investor relations and other finance colleagues, to support new development projects and on-going operations
•Co-ordinate Letters of Credit or Surety Bonds, as required by operations teams
•Liaise with insurance brokers and operations to provide information required for the annual renewals of various insurance lines of coverage
•Liaise with internal and external auditors
•Assist with ad hoc projects and requests as required
Experience
Required
•+ A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in treasury or corporate finance
+ CPA, CFA, or CTP designation required
+ Strong quantitative skills, including financial modeling skills
+ Advanced Excel skills
+ Knowledge of SAP, Bloomberg and Reuters
+ Deep understanding of global capital markets, derivative instruments, and hedge accounting
+ Motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Proven ability to work well with others
