Description

We are seeking a strategic, commercially focused, and transformational leader to join our team as Director, Cold Chain Services – Controls. In this high-impact role, you will lead our Controls Professional Services organization serving the Food Retail market. This includes project and program management, field services, technical support, and professional services across U.S. and Manila-based operations.

This leadership position plays a critical role in driving successful customer project execution, enhancing support capabilities, optimizing operational performance, and ensuring profitability. You will be responsible for aligning service delivery with customer expectations and business objectives, developing strong relationships with both customers and subcontractors, and maintaining operational budgets across service functions.

We’re seeking an experienced leader to build and shape a best-in-class services organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in service excellence, define a compelling vision, communicate it across the organization, and lead the team on a measurable path to success.

As the Director of Project Services, you will focus on:

Vision and Strategy: Set a clear, ambitious vision for world-class Controls services and lead the transformation to make it a reality
Commercial Accountability: Own and deliver on sales and profitability goals, tracking progress against the sales plan and managing cost structures to hit financial targets
Project Execution: Oversee delivery across multiple functions (technical support, programming, field services) to ensure high-quality, on-time outcomes
Customer & Subcontractor Engagement: Build deep, trusted relationships that drive alignment, repeat business, and long-term success
Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and grow a team across the U.S. and Manila
Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement through Lean practices, customer feedback, and digital tools
Support Innovation: Build scalable service infrastructure with tools such as knowledge bases, self-service platforms, and automated triage
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, and other teams to align service capacity with pipeline and growth
Performance Management: Monitor and improve KPIs like project margin, cycle time, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction
Issue Resolution: Lead resolution of customer escalations and high-impact challenges through fast, effective coordination
Strategic Planning: Identify trends, surface capability gaps, and help shape future services strategy through planning sessions and reviews.


Required Education, Experiences & Skills

Proven Impact in Service Leadership: Demonstrated success leading technical service, field operations, or project delivery teams with measurable impact on customer outcomes and efficiency
P&L Ownership: Experience driving profitable growth by managing budgets and hitting sales and margin targets
Scalability & Transformation: Ability to build, scale, or transform service teams and implement improvements across systems and workflows
Customer-Centric Execution: History of delivering high-value outcomes while balancing customer needs with operational and financial goals
Team Development: Proven ability to grow and empower teams across geographies, including matrixed environments
Strategic Execution: Strength in turning vision into results, including roadmap development, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment
Communication: Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels of an organization
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field


Preferred Education, Experiences & Skills

MBA or relevant advanced degree
PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification
Experience in the controls, cold chain, or energy management sectors
Familiarity with Oracle ERP and project tracking systems
Experience leading offshore, shared services, or BPO teams

. About Our Location

Our Cold Chain business unit, headquartered in Kennesaw, is the leading provider of electronic controls and optimization services for supermarket, convenience store, restaurant, and refrigerated transportation customers and the OEMs that serve them. The business unit is comprised of multiple acquisitions organized to add value to Copeland’s world-leading products through control, connectivity, and remote monitoring. The business generates half of its revenue outside of North America and employs over 1,200 people globally. Headquartered in the Greater Atlanta area, the business has major operations in Minnesota, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, China, and the Philippines. The Cold Chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Kennesaw location.

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
