Salary Range: $11,778.00 - $18,202.00 per month
(New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.)
The California Energy Commission (CEC) is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as Director of the Siting, Transmission and Environmental Protection (STEP) Division. This executive-level position plays a central role in shaping California’s clean energy future while safeguarding the state’s environmental resources.
As a member of the Executive Director’s Management Team, the STEP Director will oversee programs related to energy facility siting and compliance, transmission corridor planning, and environmental protection. This role is critical to ensuring California can meet its energy goals responsibly, efficiently, and equitably.
