Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you will drive performance, profitability, and long-term capability building across manufacturing, planning, engineering, and operational support. This role balances day-to-day execution with business leadership — overseeing all aspects of site operations while championing excellence in quality, safety, delivery, cost, and people.

Operational & Strategic Leadership

- Own site-level P&L and drive financial performance aligned with corporate goals

- Translate enterprise-level strategy into site-level execution plans and measurable outcomes

- Identify and lead strategic investments and capability-building initiatives for long-term growth

- Serve as a key advisor to the VP of Operations on site performance, risks, and opportunities

Business & Commercial Oversight

- Serve as primary site leader, building strong internal and external relationships

- Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment with customer and business needs

- Collaborate on forecasting, demand planning, and S&OP cycles to meet delivery expectations

- Champion customer satisfaction, ensuring high-quality, on-time product and service delivery

- Represent the site in corporate initiatives, customer engagements, and supplier negotiations

Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing

- Act as a change agent for Lean transformation and Operational Excellence

- Drive productivity, efficiency, and quality improvements through process optimization

- Sponsor automation and digitalization initiatives to modernize operations

- Ensure integration of safety and sustainability into all improvement efforts

People Leadership & Culture

- Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines

- Foster a culture of performance, accountability, safety, and continuous learning

- Promote core values and maintain a positive, inclusive, and compliance-focused work environment

- Partner with HR and other leaders to recruit, retain, and develop top talent

Compliance & Governance

- Ensure full compliance with HSE, labor, quality, and operational regulations and policies

- Oversee facility audits, risk assessments, and escalation protocols

- Champion a proactive safety culture, using data and communication to drive results

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise that matter most for this role:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field required; MBA preferred.

- Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations leadership, ideally with site-level or multi-functional oversight.

- Leadership: Proven ability to lead plant operations or large cross-functional teams with a focus on performance, culture, and accountability.

- Cultural Change Agent: Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of healthy accountability, transparency, creativity, flexibility, and operational excellence. Experience leading teams through transformation and cultural shifts.

- Data-Driven Decision Maker: Skilled in using quantitative targets, performance metrics, and analytical tools to drive continuous improvement and build organizational confidence in results.

- Operational Excellence: Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks with measurable impact. Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or Kaizen are a plus.

- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated success in aligning site-level execution with broader organizational strategy and long-term growth plans.

- P&L Ownership: Experience managing or contributing to site-level financial performance, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Union: Familiarity with managing teams in unionized or labor-regulated environments preferred but not required.

- Systems: Proficient in ERP and manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP), with an ability to analyze operational data and drive process automation.

- Communication: Excellent communicator, capable of engaging and influencing across all levels — from shop floor to executive leadership.
