Position Summary: The Director of Analytics & Reporting oversees CHN’s data governance, business intelligence strategy, and reporting operations. This role provides leadership in transforming raw data into actionable insights for program management, operational improvement, executive decision-making, and strategic initiatives. The Director partners with Lines of Business (LOB) owners and senior leadership to deliver data-driven insights, manages core production reporting, ensures accurate and timely reporting to external partners (including NeighborWorks), and supports special projects and initiatives requiring advanced analytics. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Lead the analytics and reporting strategy for CHN, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and business needs.
•Partner with Lines of Business (LOB) owners and senior leadership to design, develop, and deliver actionable insights, dashboards, and analytical reports that drive decision-making and operational improvement.
•Oversee the production of internal reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, and relevant information is available to stakeholders across the organization.
•Manage external reporting obligations to funding partners (e.g., NeighborWorks) and other compliance entities, ensuring all deliverables meet accuracy and timeliness standards.
•Lead and supervise a team of Analysts, providing mentorship, work prioritization, and quality assurance across all reporting and analytics outputs.
•Support special projects and strategic initiatives by developing custom data analyses, evaluation frameworks, and reporting solutions as needed.
•Work closely with technology, Salesforce admin, and product management teams to ensure the integrity, consistency, and usability of the organization's data systems.
•Establish and maintain data governance standards, including documentation, data validation procedures, and quality control protocols.
•Proactively identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes through automation, better visualization tools, and streamlined data management practices.
•Stay current on industry best practices in nonprofit analytics, business intelligence, and data management, continuously bringing new ideas and capabilities to CHN.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience:
•Minimum 7 years of experience working in data management, business intelligence, analytics, or related fields.
•Minimum 3 years of experience supervising Analysts or technical staff.
•Proven experience developing and managing enterprise-wide reporting systems, ideally integrated with Salesforce.
•Demonstrated experience supporting leadership decision-making through data storytelling and actionable insights.
•Strong project management skills, including scoping, resource planning, and meeting deadlines.
Skills:
•Expertise with Salesforce reporting and dashboarding tools.
•Proficiency with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
•Advanced Excel and data visualization skills.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data simply and clearly.
•Ability to translate business needs into technical reporting solutions.

Preferred:
•Master’s degree in a related field.
•Experience working in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
•Knowledge of data privacy, compliance standards, and best practices (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
