Role Overview
The Director of FP&A will be a key member of the Mitsubishi Power Americas corporate Finance organization with responsibility for leading the financial planning, forecasting, analysis and interpretation of financial results for Mitsubishi Power Americas Group, headquartered in Lake Mary, FL. The role will be both strategic and functional, combining business experience and acumen to be a strong leader and trusted advisor. As the leader of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, this individual will be responsible for leading a team of FP&A professionals and have oversight over the following FP&A functions.
Key Responsibilities
•Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership.
•Mentor and develop team of high performing FP&A professionals focusing on talent development.
•Build strong partnerships across finance to enhance communication and collaboration to fully understand the business and associated risks & opportunities.
•Act as a liaison with the parent Company in Japan to communicate financial information and address questions for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
•Expand the framework for evaluating and measuring operational and strategic performance including developing process improvement initiatives and supporting data transformation projects including automation and visualization.
•Develop creative presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
•Support management requirements for quarterly Board-level Business Review.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant four-year degree from an accredited university is required. M.B.A or CPA preferred.
•12+ years of experience in a corporate/global finance group, preferably in a multinational manufacturing company.
•7+ years of leadership experience identifying, hiring and coaching highly performing FP&A teams
•Deep experience in forecasting process as well as a full understanding of financial models and analysis.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point and experience using Hyperion or OneStream is required.
•Lead the development of annual and long-range financial planning for Mitsubishi Power Americas Group and its business units.
•Monitor monthly performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance from forecast.
•Adaptability and flexibility to adjust in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.
