The Dir Strategic Development will play a pivotal role in supporting deal origination, joint venture (JV) consolidation, project development, and project analysis. This position will take on assignments and special projects related to strategy development, market intelligence, large-scale project development, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and deal origination. Strong collaboration skills and thorough understanding of energy infrastructure assets, strategies and market dynamics are keys to success!
You will be at the forefront of shaping our strategic direction by leading high-impact initiatives in mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture consolidation. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders—from finance and legal to operations and executive leadership—to align deal structures with our long-term goals and ensure seamless execution. Your financial expertise will allow you to assess opportunities using advanced valuation techniques like accretion modeling and risk-adjusted cash flows. You will not only identify and pursue growth opportunities but also translate complex financial insights into clear, actionable strategies that resonate across the organization. Your ability to influence and collaborate will be essential as you drive decisions that expand our energy infrastructure footprint and deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Provides support by taking on assignments and/or special projects in the areas of strategy development, market intelligence, large scale project development, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and deal origination as necessary
- Leads optimization team to identify, evaluate, recommend and pursue optimization opportunities that grow the business in scale
- Anticipates internal/external customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies new and creative workable solutions with a view to maximize opportunities
- Develops and closes all opportunities that meet financial hurdles and strategic fit
- Effectively leads strategic development teams comprised of direct and indirect reports; provides direction across functional areas
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field; minimum ten (10) years’ experience
- Preferred: Master’s degree in business; minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Ability to effectively partner and influence senior management, customers and potential partners
- Thorough understanding of discounted cash flows, risk adjusted cash flows, Monte Carlo analysis, accretion and other valuation concepts and techniques
- Strong knowledge of energy infrastructure assets, strategies and market dynamics
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
