Job Description Overview
The Digital Content & Brand Manager will lead the development, execution, and management of digital content and brand strategy. This role is responsible for enhancing BWSC’s public image, increasing community engagement, and ensuring consistent messaging across all digital platforms. This role will develop, manage and deliver engaging digital content marketing strategies and campaigns across multiple digital media platforms to promote BWSC brand awareness, establish its strong online presence, and raise customer engagement. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with strong digital marketing skills and a deep understanding of public-sector communications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Development
•Develop and execute a comprehensive digital content strategy aligned with BWSC’s mission, goals, and customer engagement initiatives.
•Create, manage, and optimize content for BWSC’s website, social media channels, email campaigns, and digital advertising.
•Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, values, and messaging guidelines.
•Work with the Communications Department to ensure all print materials meet similar goals.
•Produce compelling multimedia content, including graphics, videos, infographics, and reports.
Brand Management & Public Engagement
•Maintain and enhance BWSC’s brand identity across all digital and traditional marketing channels.
•Develop a consistent brand identify for BWSC, establish and increase BWSC’s online presence.
•Monitor brand perception and recommend strategies to strengthen public trust and engagement.
•Collaborate with internal departments to promote BWSC’s initiatives, services, and emergency communications.
•Lead digital campaigns for public awareness, sustainability efforts, and customer service improvements.
Website & Social Media Management
•Oversee BWSC’s website content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and user experience best practices.
•Manage social media accounts, including content planning, scheduling, engagement, and analytics.
•Coordinate with the Communication Department to monitor online conversations and respond to public inquiries, comments, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
•Ensure all content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and user experience (UX)
Analytics & Performance Tracking
•Analyze digital content performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and customer engagement data.
•Provide regular reports on content effectiveness and recommend adjustments for improvement.
•Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance BWSC’s digital presence.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media.
•3+ years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, brand management, or related roles.
•Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a focus on public communications.
•Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.
•Experience with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing tools.
•Knowledge of website management, SEO, and accessibility best practices.
•Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Preferred
•Experience working in public utilities, municipal agencies, or government communications.
•Knowledge of crisis communication strategies and emergency response messaging.
•Familiarity with email marketing platforms and customer engagement software.
Knowledge, Ability and Skill
Knowledge In-depth, hands-on knowledge of online platforms and social media channel, including Facebook, Instagram, X(Twitter), LinkedIn, etc. Proficient in writing, editing and proofreading. Proven experience with content writing and techniques. Strong understanding of digital media platforms like social media, email marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO). Knowledge of trends in social media.
Ability Ability to conduct research on digital content and delivery concepts. Must have a creative and strategic mindset. Able to work well in a team-oriented, fast-pace environment. Ability to adapt to the constant-changing digital world.
Skill Familiarity with digital content management systems, like Hootsuite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Environment
•Work is performed in an office environment. Majority of work is performed in a moderately quiet work environment.
•Operates computer, printer, telephone, copier, facsimile machine and all other standard office equipment.
•Makes frequent contact with BWSC staff.

•Outside field work will be required to develop content.
