1. Determines Vehicle conditions by conducting inspections. Identifying worn and defective components.
2. Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting components to factory specifications. Such as power trains, drive lines, electrical, air conditioning, fuel systems, emission controls, brake, steering, hydraulics, wheel bearings, wheel seals, and the adjusting of brakes and clutches.
3. Troubleshooting truck maintenance issues to properly diagnose components to determine method and extent of repair needed.
4. Make all repairs in compliance with state and federal DOT regulations.
5. Read, interpret, analyze, and apply information in technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
6. Accurately complete work orders and other maintenance documentation.
7. Responsible for own basic hand tools, pneumatic, and some specialty tools.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
