Job Description

Grattan Line Construction Company is seeking a motivated and hardworking Mechanic to join our team. A lot of overtime and on-call work available at premium rates (1.5x wage and 2x wage). 40 hours not required to qualify for 1.5x and 2x hourly pay for certain emergency repair / on-call tasks. CDL needed for top end of overtime work.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine vehicle services on a variety of company vehicles including pickup trucks, bucket trucks, digger derrick trucks, and trailers.

- Change tires, service brakes, change hydraulic lines, and replace batteries.

- Experience with Cummins and Maxxforce engines preferred.

- Perform Engine, transmission and chassis repairs

- Various Hydraulic Repairs

- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained in safe and reliable condition.

- Assist with other mechanical and maintenance tasks as needed.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with our 4 other fleet mechanics

- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

- CDL A or B preferred

Work Environment:

- Majority of work to be performed in assigned climate controlled garage bays.

- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.

- Regularly required to lift and move heavy objects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
