Dielectric Testing Helper

Position Purpose

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to assist in dielectric testing and equipment inspections. This role supports technicians in testing, inspecting, and maintaining safety equipment such as hot sticks, mechanical jumpers, and ground cables. Candidates must adhere strictly to safety guidelines and be physically capable of performing hands-on work.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

•

Assist in dielectric testing of hot sticks, mechanical jumpers, and ground cables.

•

Support mechanics and dielectric testers in repair and maintenance tasks.

•

Clean and visually inspect all hot sticks and mechanical jumpers and ground cables.

•

Install inspection stickers on all tested equipment.

•

Record and maintain accurate test data and documentation.

•

Follow all safety protocols and procedures without exception.

•

Travel for work, including overnight stays, as required.

•

Perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing on equipment and lifting up to 50 pounds.

•

Communicate effectively with team members and clients.

•

Follow precise directions to ensure safety and accuracy.

Required Qualifications

•

High School Diploma or Equivalent

•

Valid NC Drivers License and acceptable driving record

•

Must be available to work nights, weekends, and weekdays.

•

Must be able to travel and stay overnight for work assignments.

•

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

•

Must be able to climb up, down, and around various types of equipment.

•

Must pay close attention to detail.

•

Must follow safety rules at all times.

•

Must be able to comprehend and follow precise instructions.

•

Must work well with others and communicate effectively.
