Position Overview

The Die Cast Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring die casting machines to produce metal parts according to specifications. This role ensures product quality, performs routine maintenance, and adheres to safety and production standards. This will include working 12 hour shifts, we are seeking to fill roles in both day and night shift.

Key Responsibilities

•

Set up and operate die casting machines according to job orders and safety protocols

•

Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to controls, speeds, and feeds to optimize production

•

Load metal into the machine and ensure proper temperature and pressure settings

•

Inspect castings for defects such as cracks, misalignment, or surface blemishes

•

Trim, deburr, and finish parts using hand tools or automated equipment

•

Record production data, including quantities produced, machine performance, and any quality issues

•

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and housekeeping procedures

•

Conduct basic machine maintenance and report mechanical problems to maintenance staff

•

Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, and quality standards to ensure consistent product output

•

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines

•

Comply with all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE

Qualifications

•

High school diploma or equivalent

•

Prior experience in a manufacturing or metal casting environment preferred

•

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements

•

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

•

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

•

Willingness to work in hot environments and perform physically demanding tasks

•

Forklift or hoist certification may be required (depending on company)

Working Conditions

•

Exposure to high temperatures, noise, and molten metal

•

Standing for extended periods and lifting materials up to 50 lbs

•

Use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and heat-resistant gear
