This position is located in our Austin, Tx office but will consider additional Texas locations.

Developer

at TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC!

Are you passionate about renewable energy and ready to make a significant impact? TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC seeks a seasoned utility-scale solar development professional to manage a portfolio of utility scale solar projects in various stages of development, as well as oversee the greenfield development strategy for specified markets, to support TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC's mandate for achieving over 1GW/year of renewable energy. The growing Development team is made up of experts who are nimble and ready to collaborate to meet market demands.

Project Management: Oversee all stages of projects, ensuring completion of activities like site securing, permitting, tax abatements, community engagement, and interconnection coordination.

Landowner Relations: Negotiate lease/purchase options and site control agreements; supervise local land agents.
Team Coordination: Manage project development teams and collaborate with technical, engineering, finance, and asset management teams.
Risk and Valuation Analysis: Evaluate project risks and valuation assumptions.
Strategic Planning: Develop greenfield strategies based on market size, project availability, and alignment with company strategy.
CRM Management: Maintain CRM systems for strategy review and activity reporting.
Budget and Scheduling: Manage budgets, project scheduling, planning, and risk assessment.
Project Handover: Facilitate handover to Asset Management.
Competitive Analysis: Assist in developing competitive pricing and analysis.
Finance Coordination: Prepare materials for project finance and sell-down activities.
Budget Contribution: Contribute to budget and long-term planning exercises.

Profil du candidat Education/Experience:

4-year degree, Master’s degree preferred.
7-10 years in renewable energy development (at least 2 years in utility scale solar/storage, eastern markets preferred)
Experience managing direct reports.


Skills:

Demonstrated ability to manage projects, people, and strategic objectives; Project Management Professional certification preferred.
Team oriented with a positive disposition.
Strong communication skills and ability to summarize complex issues and convey information to enable efficient decision making.
Subject matter expertise (e.g. real estate, finance, environmental, permitting, tax abatements) highly valued.


Other:

Willingness to travel as needed to assure project completion.
