Design Engineering Technologist

C&A Group is actively recruiting Design Engineering Technologists join our rapidly expanding and dynamic team of Design Engineering professionals in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Salary: $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience.

Design Technologists are required to perform some or all the following duties:

o Develop preliminary designs with the project management and design team.

o Measure and document as-built site conditions.

o Communicate designs to stakeholders through meetings and technical drawings.

o Detail the designs in 3D CAD (Solidworks) and select OEM equipment to integrate with designs.

o Drafting of parts and assemblies for fabrication.

o Facilitate release of fabrication drawings to project management and shop operations.

o Coordinate small and large aspects of projects.

o Manage schedule to ensure jobs are completed on time.

Desired Skills & Experience:

o Diploma in Engineering Technology or Equivalent

o Minimum 1 year of industry experience

o Must have experience with 3D CAD software – Solidworks preferred

o Understanding of manufacturing process systems and construction principles

o Passion for learning, self-improvement, teamwork, and team development

o Knowledge of steel fabrication, machine shop processes and mechanical system expertise (conveyors, processing equipment, etc.).

o Excellent oral and written communication skills
