SUMMARY: Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Product and/or process development responsibility for products assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Part/process development responsibility for new product inquiries. This includes, but may not be limited to:
Engineering interface with MRP to assign part numbers, build product structures, item master, development of production standards, and other related duties.
Close communication with sales, customer service and customer personnel in processing of new product inquires.
Conduct trials and capability studies to investigate design proposals or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.), in the fields of science or engineering, from a four-year college or university; plus one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
