The Co-op Student would join our Design and Construction team based in Ajax with the placement to last up to twelve (12) months starting Summer 2025 and must be enrolled in an undergraduate Engineering or Business program.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•

Support departments objectives of tracking progress of work and spending on Elexicon’s capital construction projects. This will involve regular interaction with engineering technicians and construction supervisors and managers, updating tracking tools such as spreadsheets and databases and providing regular status reports at progress meetings.

•

Track and report on progress of departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Participate in the development of new KPIs.

•

Assist in the development of future years annual capital project plans, known as the Execution Work Program (EWP).

•

Assist in the efforts to continuously evaluate and improve the effective operation of the department and division- including process mapping work using tools like MS Visio.

•

Learn and apply the concepts of good project management and reporting.

•

Other duties as assigned.

SAFETY

•

Must participate in safety training and be knowledgeable of Company safety rules and practices and must implement safe work procedures that ensure the safety of the Company employees and customers.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

•

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.)

•

Basic Python programming knowledge would be an asset.

•

Excellent conversation, writing and presentation skills.

•

Knowledge of tools such as MS Visio, MS Project etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•

Enrolled in an undergraduate Engineering or Business program.
