About the Role
Brideau Energy is seeking a motivated individual to lead our fuel delivery department. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations, logistics, personnel, and customer service across oil, propane, and diesel delivery. This position can be based out of any of the three offices, Holden, Fitchburg, or Templeton.
In this role, you'll lead a team of 18 employees across 3 central Massachusetts offices and continue the delivery experience our customers have relied on for almost 40 years. We are looking for a hands-on leader focused on streamlining operations, maintaining safety, and building a cohesive team.
Key Responsibilities
•Oversee daily routing and delivery of oil, propane, and diesel
•Collaborate with and provide backup to the dispatcher to ensure efficient and consistent operations
•Balance automatic and will-call deliveries, scale operations during peak season (November through March).
•Proactively adjust delivery plans to account for variables such as weather, holidays, time-off requests, and shifting seasonal demand.
•Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, DEC, Hazmat, and internal safety standards
•Manager and support the delivery team including a dispatcher and team of drivers across three locations (Templeton, Fitchburg, and Holden).
•Manage seasonal fluctuations by adjusting staffing and schedules during peak periods
•Recruit, rehire, and onboard seasonal drivers during peak periods (November thru March)
•Conduct performance reviews, safety training, and regular team check-ins
•Provide coaching and feedback to support individual and team growth
•Work with HR on staffing recommendations, including hiring, promotions, and terminations
•Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally
•Maintain clear communication with drivers, dispatch, and support teams
•Ensure timely and balanced delivery service for automatic and will-call customers
•Promote a service-first mindset that drives customer loyalty and satisfaction
Minimum Qualifications
•5+ years of experience in fuel delivery, dispatch, transportation operations, or transferable experience.
•Experience using routing, dispatch, and fleet management systems.
•Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams and ensuring regulatory compliance (DOT, Hazmat).
•Valid Class A or B CDL with Tank & Hazmat endorsements preferred.
•CETP certification (or ability to obtain within one year).
