Delivery Driver

Driver / Loader (West Haven, CT)

Founded in 1953, Filter Sales & Service, Inc. is the largest regional air and liquid filtration product distributor in the Northeast U.S. and number one in Camfil product sales for 10 years running. We have grown by strict attention to detail during installations and by going above and beyond for our customer, providing both cost- and energy-efficient solutions for hospitals, hotels, universities, bio-tech companies, and more. We are currently looking for a key contributor to join our team as a full-time Driver. This position, located in Burlington, MA, involves servicing both new and existing air and liquid filtration accounts.

Position Overview

The Driver will be responsible for delivering product to all Filter Sales & Service, Inc. customer accounts, both existing and new. He or she will service customers by operating a company vehicle. The Driver reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

- Responsible for picking orders AND loading delivery vehicles (vans, box trucks)

- Drive (under DOT regulations) orders to customer at various locations across New England.

- Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures

- Maintain and comply with company vehicle maintenance policy and procedures

- Driver will have familiarity with basic tools and maintain ability to transport both equipment and tools to customer sites

- Responsible for both electronic and written customer and company information

- Regular and reliable attendance; punctuality is essential

- Other duties as assigned, such as assisting in unloading trailers as deemed necessary by the Operations Manager.

Requirements

- CDL license preferred but not required.

- Must have good verbal and written communication skills

- Highly motivated, self-starting individual with a willingness to learn

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail

- A clean work and driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

- Physical requirements include ability to bend, squat, walk with heavy equipment, and lift 70 pounds

- Valid driver's license

- DOT Medical Card required; Filter Sales & Service, Inc. will provide for exam fee.

- May require occasional overtime and early/late hours to complete a job.
