Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting building and products to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Duties

- Safely operate a 1 ton truck or other commercial vehicles for delivery purposes. Will be pulling a trailer with wide loads up to 12’ wide.

- Load and unload heavy goods, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit.

- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.

- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.

- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.

- Utilize warehouse experience to assist with inventory management as needed.

- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading tasks when required.

- Handle documentation related to deliveries, including delivery confirmations and inventory logs.

- Assist in moving products within the pipe yard as necessary.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local areas is advantageous.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely.

- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.

- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for assisting with logistics operations.

- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (certification may be required).
