Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and flexible individual to fill a hybrid role involving local deliveries and in-shop support. This position involves driving company vehicles—primarily a delivery van, and occasionally a box truck—to transport parts between J&A Manufacturing and outside processing vendors (plating, painting, etc.), performing errands and purchasing runs, and assisting with general fabrication and production tasks when not on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving & Delivery Duties (Primary)

•

Operate company-owned delivery van and box truck for pickups and deliveries.

•

Transport parts and materials to outside processors, vendors, and customers.

•

Load and unload parts safely using appropriate lifting techniques or equipment.

•

Maintain accurate delivery/pickup logs, receipts, and paperwork.

•

Ensure vehicles are maintained in clean and safe working condition.

•

Communicate delays, issues, or discrepancies promptly to supervisors.

Errands & Purchasing

•

Make local supply runs for materials, tools, consumables, and other items as needed.

•

Coordinate with purchasing and production staff to ensure timely procurement of urgent supplies.

Shop Support (As Needed)

•

Assist in fabrication areas with tasks such as deburring, part handling, packaging, and shop organization.

•

Support receiving and shipping operations including labeling and staging parts.

•

Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe shop floor.

Qualifications:

•

Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record.

•

Experience driving delivery vans and box trucks preferred.

•

Familiarity with the Dallas-Fort Worth area is a plus.

•

Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and move materials safely.

•

Previous delivery driving or shipping/receiving experience preferred.

•

Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment when not driving.

•

Good communication and time management skills.

•

Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Working Conditions:

•

This is a physical role requiring time spent driving, loading/unloading, and moving throughout a manufacturing facility.

•

Requires flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85 - $19.66 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
