Delivery Driver

Temp to Hire
Schedule - 7:00 am – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, must be available for Overtime past 3:30 and some weekends.
Note from the manager
· We are looking for a responsible Delivery Driver to deliver products promptly to our customers.
· 5 Years Minimum Experience
· Candidate should be willing to perform warehouse work like stocking, cleaning, or assembly outside of deliveries because sometimes there are not deliveries to be made.
Responsibilities
•
Drive automatic transmission box truck and/or pick-up truck
•
Deliver to commercial customers within state of Virginia
•
Follow routes and time schedule
•
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
•
Complete logs and reports
•
Follow regulations and safety standards
•
Obtain customer signature on delivery paperwork
•
Count and package sheet metal products
•
Move product by hand, cart, pallet jack, or forklift
•
Tasked with General Labor duties when not making deliveries
Skills/Requirements
•
Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
•
Valid driver’s license (non-CDL)
•
Ability to operate forklifts to load and unload tractor trailers and straight trucks preferred
•
Experience material handling / moving odd size or oversize products with forklift helpful but not required
•
Ability to drive in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
•
Excellent organizational and time management skills
•
Good driving record with no traffic violations, must meet our insurance requirements.
•
Lift 50-75 lbs, stand, walk, sit, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements
•
Must have reliable transportation and/or ability to get to work on time every day
•
Good attendance is mandatory. Need to be flexible & available for overtime
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $16.73 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
