Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Duties

- Safely operate and drive trucks to transport freight to designated locations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

- Manage loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.

- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

- Utilize manual transmission when required for specific truck types.

- Operate forklifts as necessary for loading and unloading tasks.

- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).

- Familiarity with operating various truck types.

- Experience in truck driving with a focus on safety regulations and best practices.

- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.

- Prior experience as a delivery driver is a plus but not required.

- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and equipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
