About This Job

Key Responsibilities:

•

Safely operate oil and gas facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

•

Monitor and control hydrocarbon processing activities, perform safety system checks, and troubleshoot operational issues.

•

Conduct product material sampling, tank vessel drainage, and other essential operational tasks.

•

Inspect, test, and maintain equipment, including emergency shutdown valves, fired equipment, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and piping systems.

•

Work with hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with safety protocols (e.g., gas freeing or purging).

•

Perform emergency response planning, well testing, and oil and gas sampling as required.

•

Maintain awareness of zone classifications, confined space procedures, and other safety hazards in the field.

•

Lead in ensuring emissions and waste handling protocols are followed in accordance with environmental guidelines.

•

Minimum of 3+ years of deep water experience.

•

Proven control room operator experience.

•

Hands-on topside operator experience with operational safety procedures.

•

Strong subsea operational knowledge and experience.

•

Ability to pass the A-Operator assessment test with a score of 80% or higher.

•

Ability to read and interpret safe charts, flow diagrams, and process equipment diagrams.

•

Knowledge of emergency shutdown procedures, safety system checks, and incident investigation techniques.

•

Strong commitment to safety, including awareness of confined space, fall protection, and electrical safety protocols.

•

Proficient in using personal protective equipment (PPE), performing lockout/tagout procedures, and conducting job safety analyses (JSA).

Skills & Certifications:

•

Offshore and/or onshore safety awareness training (Safegulf/Safeland or equivalent).

•

Familiarity with hazard communication, fire prevention, and first responder awareness.

•

Experience with incident reporting, investigation, and accident prevention strategies.

•

Certified in Hazwoper, Hearing Conservation, and other relevant safety programs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining offshore oil and gas facilities, with experience in control room operations, topside operations, and subsea systems. A strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency is essential.
