Summary
As a Sr. Data Analyst II at Oncor, you will provide development and maintenance of databases, software applications, data analytics and engineering tools for Distribution PMO programs, other stakeholders in Distribution and detailed analysis of data to identify impacts to resources, financials and materials in support of budgetary planning, program management and coordination of maintenance and construction of the Oncor distribution grid. This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of tracking applications, reporting tools, dashboards, forecasting and processes to aid in strategic planning and promote continuous process improvement.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Directly or through others, the incumbent:
•Work with senior team members, program managers and internal partners to identify areas for operational improvement and coordinate the development of processes in response to recommendations
•Evaluate existing engineering tools, systems, applications, metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance daily tracking applications for current Distribution Programs such as OH Planned Maintenance, System Capacity, Offsites, Automation, and any new developments
•Proactively monitor project data to identify time, cost, material, resource and quality issues and report to appropriate internal personnel
•Design reports to monitor and analyze work orders, crew resources, material and other related data from the enterprise systems databases.
•Commitment to learn new methods, techniques and software to accomplish tasks and fulfill the needs of the organization
•Develop, manage, test and recommend changes to Microsoft SharePoint applications, databases, existing software applications, and apply business intelligence/data engineering skills. Find innovative ways of improving data efficiencies as well as assist in improving existing workflows
•Ability to develop new software applications/User Interface platforms
•Maintain user confidence and protect operations through the maintenance of confidential information and compliance with Oncor Electric Delivery safety standards
•Implement continuous process improvement through program evaluation, coordination of various workgroups and maintenance of best practices
• Initiate, develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with various internal work groups
• Ability to do multi-tasking and manage multiple projects
• Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements

Sr. Data Analyst II
Education, Experience, & Skills
•High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or business equivalent degree with 6 years computer experience, OR 10 years’ experience in systems data analysis
•Highly proficient in Data mining & analytics , Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Data Architecture, database environments, ETL tools is required
•Highly proficient in development of software applications using .Net frameworks, HTML, CSS & JavaScript, AngularJs and any other advanced technologies is preferred
•Highly proficient to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and understand existing SQL queries utilizing various DBMS systems including MS Access, MS SQL Server, other SQL Databases
•Experience with business intelligence, database/business analytics and data dashboard software like Cognos and Tableau tools and ability to adapt new technologies as per enterprise technology strategy needs
•Advanced knowledge in Access and Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas and pivot tables
•Ability to create new and automate existing applications utilizing MS Office applications, SharePoint, Python, C#, VBA and/or any other programming languages
•Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•Knowledge of Transmission and Distribution infrastructure preferred
•Self-starter with demonstrated organization skills
