The Cycle Count Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing inventory control processes through regular cycle counting in the mining operations. This position ensures accurate inventory data, reduces variances, and contributes to overall efficiency in materials management. The Cycle Count Coordinator works closely with warehouse teams, procurement, and accounting, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry regulations.
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory in warehouses, stockyards, and other storage locations within mining operations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records, collaborating with the Sr. Cycle Count Accountant and other relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all cycle count activities, including root cause analysis of variances.
- Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure timely updates and corrections in SAP Materials Management module.
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for inventory management, including continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support audits and internal reviews of inventory processes, providing data and reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, especially in high-risk environments such as mining sites.
- Experience using SAP MM or other inventory management systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with proven experience resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Basic knowledge of mining or heavy industrial operations and materials handling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in mining operations.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be fluent in English
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or cycle counting, preferably within the mining, industrial, or heavy equipment sectors.
- High school diploma or GED. Additional training or education in supply chain, warehouse management, or related fields is an asset.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business preferred.
- English language fluency.
- At least CEFR B2 - Upper Intermediate: Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.
