Reporting to the Cybersecurity Business Integration Director, you will support the entire Cybersecurity department and sometimes other groups with a wide range of responsibilities—including technical writing, process documentation and presentation development—as well as technical and administrative tasks.
In this role, you will act as a critical link between cybersecurity specialists and both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams. At the intermediate level, you will conduct operational analyses aligned with enterprise, divisional and departmental strategies, and provide data-driven insights to optimize the use of personnel, equipment, and materials. You will receive moderate guidance from Leaders, and experienced team members as you contribute to high-impact projects and initiatives.
You will be trusted to:
•Be a proactive self-starter with a strong desire to learn, support others, and rapidly grow into a key contributor responsible for critical work in protecting the electric grid.
•Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, able to frequently shift focus throughout the day to support a wide range of tasks and team members (note: not multitasking, but task-switching effectively).
•Quickly develop proficiency in cybersecurity, technical, administrative and other systems; starting as a backup and progressing to a primary user as expertise grows.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including processes, standards, correspondence and project status reports.
•Help maintain departmental organization by managing competing deadlines, coordinating across multiple departments, preparing for scheduled meetings and responding to a steady flow of ad hoc requests.
•Collaborate and build relationships with external organizations/partners to promote LCRA’s goal in sharing cyber resources with the critical infrastructure community.
•Coordinate and provide employee cyber training and awareness on cyber best practices to enhance LCRA’s overall security posture.
You qualify with:
•Six or more years' experience in capital planning, decision-making modeling, operations and maintenance planning, financial management, project management and strategic business support or relevant experience. A degree(s) in business, economics, engineering, finance, math, science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
•Three (3) years experience in one or more of the following areas: technology support, technical writing, business analysis, planning, decision-making modeling, project management, or strategic business support.
•Proficiency in business productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 (Office), Google Workspace, or similar platforms.
•Comfort working with spreadsheets, word processing documents, and collaborative file systems like SharePoint or Google Docs.
•A degree in technology, business, economics, engineering, finance, mathematics, science or a related field may substitute for a portion of the required experience, in accordance with LCRA guidelines.
•Experience working with a variety of technology platforms and systems, including tools for data entry, dashboards, reporting and system updates.
•Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to pursue relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), ISC² Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) or similar) as part of ongoing professional development.
You gain:
•Competitive salary & medical, dental, vision and legal insurance
•Paid time off, including time for vacation, sick and family care leave
•401(k) match up to 8% that includes a student loan 401(k) contribution program option
•Life and disability insurance
•Wellness program including wellness incentive
•Extensive learning & development programs
And more - all to create a compelling and rewarding work environment.
